Ling Charity has been a leading supplier of bespoke greeting cards to the charity sector for many years. As part of the Swan Mill Holdings Group, Ling Charity carries the well established brands from both Ling Design and The Great British Card Company.
Ling is one of the longest established greeting card publishers in the UK supplying hundreds of retailers across the UK as well as over 27 countries worldwide.
The Great British Card Company started life as Paper House back in 1980 in a Cheltenham garage, and then in a warehouse in Northleach. The business grew organically and through a series of acquisitions of fellow publishers, it finally found its way to The Swan Mill Group and continues to thrive.
The Swan Mill Group is a family-run business established in 1892. Specialising in 'ink-on-paper' for retail and hospitality, they are the UK's largest supplier of table napkins and tableware. Other categories include roll wrap, gift tags, bags, bar accessories, tableware and crackers.
The Ling Charity team have many years of experience in the greeting card and retail sector and are on-hand to offer support and advice to your fundraising and retail team.
Environmental
We understand that minimising the environmental impact of products sold is of the utmost importance to our customers, and also their own customers. We are continually improving our practices and working internally, and with our supply partners, to reduce our carbon footprint. This includes evaluating where waste can be removed or reduced, as well as suggesting alternative packing solutions.
Among just some of the steps we are taking towards our environmental commitment:
- All products are printed on sustainably sourced FSC-certified board.
- All cards are fully recyclable, with recyclable finishes.
- We use environmentally friendly vegetable inks and water-based coatings.
- All packaging is fully recyclable or compostable.
- Our UK manufacturing partners are ISO14001 accredited.
Social responsibility
At Ling Charity we offer printing availability both in the UK and overseas, allowing for wider finish options and price points to suit all charity customers. Our charity overseas partners manufacture everything in-house ensuring your products are manufactured to the very highest labour standards.
All our suppliers, both in the UK and overseas, are Sedex members and SMETA audited annually. They also have other key accreditations evidencing their commitment to ethical and environmental responsibility.
